Obama's fault! Help Michigan Voters!!!

As Michigan's voters may well have their votes stolen from them, we need to

HELP THEM FEEL BETTER ABOUT IT!!!

That's right! Help me convince Michigan voters that their votes should be given to Hillary Clinton, even if they want to vote for Obama!

BECAUSE EVERY VOTE SHOULD COUNT (for Clinton)!!!

And to make it easy, we'll assume that every reasonable person will accept without reservation that it's absolutely OBAMA'S FAULT!!! Because he's a Democrat, and Democrats obviously HATE democracy. (Except for Clinton.)

That's right! I'll grant you that it's 100% Obama's fault!

Now, let's convince Michigan's voters that THEY deserve to be punished for it!

But before we begin, let's take a closer look at the Michigan voters who'll be disenfranchised if we go forward with the Clinton plan to seat Michigan's delegates as is.

1. Voters who voted uncommitted because they wanted to vote for Obama. For some, this is the primary group. Let's tell them why they shouldn't have their votes counted but Clinton voters should.

My suggestions:

---->They had bad judgment. They clearly shouldn't get to vote if
they can't even pick the right candidate!
---->They are sexist!
---->Barrack Obama is a very bad man!

2. Voters who didn't vote because they were told their vote wouldn't count. Again, these were voters who made the mistake of believing Senator Clinton when she said the delegates wouldn't count.

---->HA HA! FOOLED YOU! Gullible schmucks shouldn't get a vote anyway.

3. Voters who voted in the Republican primary as a protest vote. Admittedly, Michigan's primary debacle is a cause for anger. Why did that bad Barrack have to go using his mind control ray on Senator Carl Levin and Governor Granholm? Anyway, many Michigan Democrats crossed the line and voted in the Republican primary to show their dissatisfaction with the circus-side-show election. Clearly, the democratic thing to do is to punish these voters for using their democratic rights!
---->People who question the party shouldn't get to vote anyway! Right, Clinton supporters who question the validity of the party's democratic process? Aint' that right?

4. Any voters who could have benefited from an actual campaign being run in their state to help them decide how to vote.
---->Basing your electoral decisions on "information" is for sissies.

And finally, let's look at the lucky duckies. These are the only people who will be enfranchised by the Clinton plan:

1. Voters who didn't need any information or campaign to decide that they were going to vote for Clinton. Lucky duckies.

Now let's help em all out!

Give me your best reason why they shouldn't have their votes counted for the candidate they chose....

EDITED TO ADD: Just wanted to be clear: I was in a good mood this morning and I was just having some fun. Yes, I do mean the argument, that no one has explained why the HRC MI plan is fair or how it "enfranchises voters." But don't take it too seriously. And yes, I really really like HRC. I just like Obama better.

Peas

And props to Firewall for the pic.
Poll
Why Mi should be SOL:
Obama is a very bad man!
Clinton DESERVES all their votes without an election!
If they didn't vote for her they're sexist anyway!
I don't think a football is a good Christmas present!

You need three or four more replies to make this a You-Know-Who diary.

Oh, and add a gratuitous photo at the top. I suggest this one, as it is the epitome of Michigan:

Hey- calm down. It's not gonna go down that way, don't worry. It's political suicide, and in the meantime, you're emulating the likes of Alegre, SoCalDarlin, et all.

If you're debunking a particularly obnoxious claim, or something on that line, fine. I don't advocate for unilateral disarmament simply because we're winning. I still expect better from you.

Alright?

Don't stoop to their level. I know it's been contentious, and you've had to deal with shit for months, but it'll be over soon and we can all move on much happier people. Just remember that. But we're good, like I said, if you tackle a factless and unwarranted claim head on, you can count on me being right there beside you, fighting just as hard as you.

Get the Lions to fire Matt Millen.  That will cheer up a lot of Michaganders.

If Obama could do that, he would win MI easily.  Promising a Constitutional amendment removing ownership of the Lions from the Ford family would work just as well.

Re: Obama's fault! Help Michigan Voters!!! (2.00 / 1)

I'll tell you something. As Florida and Michigan have been badly insulted by Obama, all their delegates should be attributed to Hillary, and their votes should count double at the convention. Wait, not double... 20 fold. Whatever she needs to secure the nomination. And 100 times more just to teach him a good lesson. Did I forget to mention that caucus delegates should be shot? Obama ones, that is. Or hung maybe. Any better idea?

Hung then shot?

No, that might be going a little far...

You should proofread. (2.00 / 1)

Unless, of course, you actually are going to 'accept Clinton'.

Which would be the best thing to do, except for folks who want to keep insulting the Democrats of those two states, ie Obama supporters.

Hell's bells, even the GOP didn't have to crucify Eisenhower's record in order to make Reagan their 'saint'. We can have two great ones, you know?

And if you would, (none / 0)

I really would like an answer to the question. Sometimes when you're emotionally involved (as I am) things can seem like a no-brainer because you can't see it from the other side's perspective.

I keep asking this question and no one has answered.

I really do want to know how Clinton supporters see it.

And thanks for taking the time to read the diary.

Re: And if you would, (2.00 / 1)

I suppose as a Floridian, I see it differently here because all of the Democratic nominees were on the ballot in January.  No one was 'shut out', supporters of all candidates could vote for their choice. If folks didn't vote, that was their choice and their fault. Also, Florida is a closed primary, meaning only registered Democrats can vote, so there was no "GOP" crossover to muddy the waters, and no independents gaming our process.

Except for a short press conference by Obama and a small amount of bleed over teevee ads to parts of Florida, there was no 'breaking' of the rules by the DNC about campaigning here, either, so that point is moot.

It is what it is.  Hillary won the Democratic primary in Florida, and the delegates should be seated, and the votes should be a part of the popular vote total.  I agree, MI is a different story, not because of anything Hillary did, but because Obama removed his name from the ballot there.

I've become so angered by the DNC treatment of Democrats in Florida that I've switched to NPA.
I'm not the only one here to do that.  How the DNC resolves this or doesn't will tell whether ANY Democrat can take FL for POTUS in the GE.

Before any of you all castigate me for switching to NPA, please remember that you stand solidly behind the independents who support your candidate.  You have no right to denigrate me for joining the independent (NPA) group just because I don't support your candidate at this time.

Re: And if you would, (none / 0)

Actually, I support your decision. I always put progressive values ahead of this abstraction "the party."

So I support your statement. I hope in the end you'll come to feel that Obama had earned your vote.

Secondly, I fully agree that the state parties of Michigan and Florida, together with the DNC, badly botched this whole operation.

Michigan was obviously an unfair election and it would disenfranchise voters to pretend otherwise.

I suspect the same of Florida to a lesser degree. Do you really think that it was a fair election in Flordia knowing that name recognition and familiarity counts for so much and HRC had a distinct advantage in this regard?

Either way, Florida's delegates become irrelevant to the outcome of the election if Michigan's are not seated with none going to Obama. Without that Mi result, HRC cannot get close enough in the seated delegates to argue for the supers to overturn it.

Anyway, I also think that well informed individuals can disagree about how much blame Clinton or Obama have in this. Many people, including me, feel that Clinton shares most of the blame.

My point is that it doesn't matter. Whether or not Obama is to blame, it's no excuse to strip his voters of their right to vote for him.
